Guides Wowhead: Hand of the Prophet Reputation Guide · Wowhead: Vol'jin's Headhunters Reputation Guide

• Tanaan Jungle opened: the first steps of the Tanaan garrison campaign, which build the shipyard and set up Lion's Watch (Alliance) or Vol'mar (Horde), where the quartermaster and the faction's daily quests are · about 2 h
• Exalted with Hand of the Prophet (Alliance) or Vol'jin's Headhunters (Horde): 42,000 reputation from Neutral. About 7,200 comes once from the Tanaan garrison campaign (1,000 for setting up the base, 350 each for two introduction quests, 1,000 each for three chapter endings and 2,500 for the last quest). The rest is daily quests at the base: one assault from the command table (500), two from the quartermaster (250 each), and on some days a fourth (250), so 1,000 to 1,250 a day · about 20 h over 5 weeks
• 2,000 gold

In all: about 22 h of play, spread over 5 weeks, 2,000 gold, starting from nothing.

/way is for the TomTom addon. Travel times are estimates: flying at 55 yards a second in a straight line and 30 seconds for a portal. A star marks a portal that needs a quest or other unlock done first.

The journal names both vendors and the standing but no price. Two items teach the one mount. 128527 is the Alliance's, listed at Exalted in Wowhead's Hand of the Prophet guide for 2,500 gold. 128526 is the Horde's, which Wowhead's item page shows sold by Shadow Hunter Denjai alone, at 2,375 gold; that looks like the list price less a 5% reputation discount, though the reading is an inference.

The places are Wowhead's tooltips for the two quartermasters: Krethos at 58.4, 60.4 and Denjai at 61.6, 45.6, both on the Tanaan Jungle map; the wiki has the same figures.

The reputation is the whole of the work and its figures are old: Wowhead's guide dates from patch 6.2 and Blizzard Watch's article from 2015, and Wowhead's comments on the item hold nothing from after 2020. By the guide:

• the command table at the base offers two of seven assault dailies a day, of which one can be taken (500 reputation, with Apexis Crystals and Oil)
• once the first is done the quartermaster offers two more at 250 each, one always for two Tanaan bonus objectives and one a collection task
• a fourth daily from another quest giver at the base is not up every day and may be for another faction

The guide says the last campaign quest opens six weeks into the garrison campaign. Whether the campaign is still handed out a week at a time was not established; if it is, its 7,200 arrives over those weeks rather than at the start. The 35 days here use the guide's own list; the notes for the Soaring Skyterror, from the same family of sources, counted 2,200 from the opening quests and 19 days to Revered.

Ways to shorten it:

• a Medallion of the Legion gives 1,000 reputation and drops from Tanaan's Hellbane rares or comes from a garrison mission (wiki, Wowhead's guide)
• a level 3 garrison Trading Post adds 20% to reputation earned in Draenor (Blizzard Watch; the guide says the bonus applies to the medallion as well), which makes it about 29 days
• during Warlords of Draenor Timewalking the event's vendors sell commendations for the Tanaan factions at 50 Timewarped Badges for 300 reputation (as given for the Soaring Skyterror, from the wiki and a Wowhead comment; not checked again)

Whether the two reputations are shared across a Warband was not established. wow.gg's page for the mount (updated 2026) says per character, but that page also describes dailies at an outpost and a turn-in token that no other source knows, so it is not linked and not relied on.

Both linked guides are Wowhead's own. The Alliance one was read; its Horde twin was found by search and not opened, so that it mirrors the Alliance one is assumed.

The item binds when picked up and needs level 17 and Apprentice Riding (wiki, since patch 9.0.1). It is a ground mount, added in patch 6.2.0.

Confidence in this entry: medium. Looked up in 2026.
