How to get it

Reward of the Archaeology quest Laying to Rest. In the fortnight it is on offer, Dariness the Learned, the Archaeology trainer in Dalaran above the Broken Isles, gives The Right Path, which leads to Lessah Moonwater in Thunder Totem. She asks for 600 Bone Fragments of Eche'ro, dug up at the Highmountain dig sites, and then lays the bones to rest at the pool below Thunder Totem, which hands over the mount.

/way is for the TomTom addon. Travel times are estimates: flying at 55 yards a second in a straight line and 30 seconds for a portal. A star marks a portal that needs a quest or other unlock done first.

Notes and sources

The journal says only 'Profession: Archaeology'. Dariness offers one of thirteen rare-find quests for two weeks at a time, so each comes round every 26 weeks. The quest has to be finished inside its window: a 2025 comment lost the quest and the bones collected when the window ended.

Windows, by a calendar posted on Wowhead in 2018 (European reset days):

Later comments confirm the calendar window by window (August 2023, August 2024, February 2025, August 2025), and JudgeHype's table (updated 2026) gives the same weeks. The August 2026 window itself was not confirmed by a report, and the 2027 dates are that calendar carried forward.

The quest is in the Dalaran above the Broken Isles, reached with the Dalaran Hearthstone, not the old one in Northrend (2025 comment). Lessah stands in two places (Wowhead's tooltip): by the flight master in the upper ring of Thunder Totem (45.4-45.8, 44.4-45.2), which is the place given above, and at the burial pool (64.4-64.6, 50.0-50.6 on the Thunder Totem map; Blizzard Watch puts the cave at 62, 47 there, about 48, 60 on the Highmountain map).

The time on site is the hand-in and the ceremony, an estimate. A hotfix of February 2017 dealt with players getting stuck by logging out during the ceremony (wiki). The spirits can be tagged by others, so one commenter turns on action targeting to be quick.

During Legion Remix, which has ended, the mount was also sold for 40,000 Bronze (wiki). It has flown since patch 8.1.5.
