Prestigious War Wolf

Reward of the achievement Free For All, More For Me: complete each of the four free-for-all arena world quests of the Broken Isles 20 times, 80 completions in all. They are Black Rook Rumble in Val'sharah (achievement Off the Top Rook), Operation Murloc Freedom in Azsuna (Mission Accomplished), Bareback Brawl in Stormheim (Saddle Sore) and Darkbrul Arena in Highmountain (The Darkbrul-oh). Only one of the four is up at a time, in six-hour turns. Each asks for kills inside the arena, and its creatures count as well as players.

Guides Wowhead: Free For All, More For Me, achievement page (comments of February 2024 and February 2026 give the rotation and the four waypoints) · wow.gg: Reins of the Prestigious War Wolf

• 80 world quest completions, 20 of each of the four arenas. One arena quest is up at a time for six hours, four turns a day starting from the daily reset, never the same one twice in a row and each at most twice a day; a character can do each turn's quest once, and a Legion assault on the zone hides its quest. Progress is counted across the Warband's characters, so several characters can each do the same turn · about 10 h over 6 weeks

In all: about 10 h of play, spread over 6 weeks, starting from nothing.

/way is for the TomTom addon. Travel times are estimates: flying at 55 yards a second in a straight line and 30 seconds for a portal. A star marks a portal that needs a quest or other unlock done first.

Which arena to go to depends on which quest is up; the place given above is Black Rook Rumble only because the Planner takes one place. The four arenas, by the waypoints in a 2024 Wowhead comment:

• Azsuna 37, 16
• Stormheim 61, 27
• Val'sharah 38, 45
• Highmountain 51, 77

The quest asks for kills in the arena: a killing blow is 10% and being present when anything dies there 2%, and named creatures appear when no other player is in the arena (wiki, Black Rook Rumble). War Mode is not needed; walking into the arena flags the character for free-for-all combat (2022 forum thread, wow.gg). Wowhead's world quest map shows which quest is up, and a WeakAura that announces it is linked in a 2021 comment (replies of 2025 report errors in it).

The achievement (11474) is the same for both factions: it gives the Reins of the Prestigious War Wolf to the Horde and the Reins of the Prestigious War Steed to the Alliance, and earning it on either side unlocks the other side's mount too (wiki; Wowhead comments since 2016). The wolf's item is limited to the Horde's races and binds to the Warband.

Completions by different characters add up. The wiki has the meta-achievement account-wide since patch 8.3.0 and the four arena achievements since 11.0.0, Wowhead's tooltip for Off the Top Rook (as read in 2026) is marked 'Account-wide progress', and Wowhead comments from the second half of 2024 on confirm it; older ones (2018, early 2024) say it all had to be one character.

A bug of 2024 withheld the mount when the achievement was finished across several characters. Blizzard's support article is cited as saying it was fixed in patch 11.0.7 (the article itself would not load), and comments of 2025 got the mount, one a day late.

Confidence is medium because the time depends wholly on how many turns are caught and with how many characters, and because the 2024 comment's rotation rules could not be checked against a second source: comments of 2018 to 2020 describe fixed clock times that later ones say no longer hold.

Confidence in this entry: medium. Looked up in 2026.
