Charger

Look it up on WowheadHow to get it
The Alliance paladin's second horse, once the reward of a long quest chain. Human, dwarf and Dark Iron dwarf paladins now learn it automatically at level 10. No item, vendor or quest is involved any more.
Before you go
- A human, dwarf or Dark Iron dwarf paladin levelled to 10 · about 1 h
In all: about 1 h of play, starting from nothing.
Getting there
There is nowhere to travel for this one.
Notes and sources
No place is given because there is nowhere to travel for the mount. A human, dwarf or Dark Iron dwarf paladin of level 10 is the sure way, and an Alliance paladin of another race may find it in the journal already.
The sources differ on the level: the wiki's page for the spell says level 10, in its text and in its patch 9.0.1 entry, while warcraftmounts.com lists the Charger at level 17 and the Warhorse at 10. If 17 is right the levelling is nearer two hours.
Who may have it:
- Wowhead's tooltip for the spell (23214) says Requires Paladin, Faction: Alliance
- Wowhead's page for the spell lists the races Human, Dwarf and Dark Iron Dwarf beside two further race ids (75 and 76) that it does not name
- the wiki says that once it is learned any Alliance paladin of the Warband can use it
- Wowhead comments of 2017 report draenei paladins finding the Charger and the Warhorse usable with no human or dwarf paladin on the account
So no race is set here, as for the Warhorse.
The journal files it under quests and says only 'Paladin'; there is no item, and the quest chain that once gave it was removed in patch 4.0.1 (wiki).
In Midnight the horse was given a new model (wiki: hotfix of 18 February 2026, 'Model updated'); Wowhead comments of 2026 regret the old look, and the mount itself is still there. Wowhead says 52% of profiles have it.
Confidence in this entry: medium. Looked up in 2026.
