Sold by Deathguard Netharian, the Combatant Mount Quartermaster in the Valley of Strength, Orgrimmar, for 1 Vicious Saddle. A saddle is earned in rated PvP while a season is running: wins at 1,000 rating (Combatant) or more fill the Season Rewards bar; the first full bar of a season gives that season's own vicious mount, and every further full bar in the same season gives a Vicious Saddle.

Before you go
- This season's vicious mount first: reach 1,000 rating in a rated bracket and fill the Season Rewards bar once (roughly 40 wins in Battleground Blitz or rated battlegrounds, 80 wins in 3v3 or 240 in 2v2) · about 20 h
- 1 Vicious Saddle: fill the Season Rewards bar a second time in the same season · about 20 h
In all: about 40 h of play, starting from nothing.

Notes and sources
The journal's "Cost: 1" is one Vicious Saddle (wiki). The wiki's page for Deathguard Netharian lists the Vicious War Trike among the mounts he sells for a saddle, and so does Wowhead's Vicious Saddle guide. The Alliance's vendor, Necrolord Sipe, does not have the trike (wiki). Coordinates are the wiki's (42.0, 73.8); wow.gg gives 42.0, 72.4.
The saddle binds when picked up (wiki), so it goes to the character that fills the bar, and the vendor and the mount item are Horde ones, so that has to be a Horde character. The mount item itself binds to the Warband (Wowhead tooltip). It was added in patch 7.0.3, has been learned account-wide since 7.2.0 and asks for level 17 and Apprentice Riding (wiki).
Saddles can only be earned while a rated PvP season is running: Midnight Season 2 began on 18 August 2026 and the wiki's page for it gives no end date; its own mount is the Vicious Lightbloom Boar. The win counts are not Blizzard's, and neither guide says what a Solo Shuffle win is worth; the bar in the Rated tab of the PvP window shows the real progress.
Guides: wow.gg's page is about the Vicious War Raptor and does not name this mount, but describes the same saddle and vendor. Wowhead's Vicious Saddle guide (last updated 2020) still asks for 1,400 rating and stops at Battle for Azeroth, so it is not linked; the wiki and wow.gg give 1,000.
Confidence in this entry: medium. Looked up in 2026.
