Reward of the death knight quest The Lost Glacier, the last of four quests that Dread Commander Thalanor starts at Deliverance Point on the Broken Shore with Amal'thazad's Message. Notes and sources
Death knights only; the mount's colour follows the rider's specialization, and the item asks for level 45 (wiki). On the quest's wiki page Amal'thazad's Message follows Strike Them Down, the last Legionfall quest.
The place given above is where the chain is picked up: Thalanor, at the coordinates on that quest page (his own wiki page says 44.0, 62.6). The rest of the chain is in Acherus and Northrend. A hotfix of 7 November 2025 mended it for Legion Remix death knights (wiki). The class hall and Legionfall times were not measured for a death knight; they are carried over from the hunter's class mount.
Guides: Wowhead's Obtaining Legion Class Mounts (updated 2025) gives the requirements for every class, level 45 among them, but not the quests themselves, and does not mention that Breaching the Tomb has counted once per account since patch 9.1.5 (wiki). Its walkthrough of the death knight quests is a preview written from the 7.2 test realm in 2017; by it The Lost Glacier is a scenario in which the undead drawn to the dragon's bones are killed for the life energy that raises her.
