How to get it

Sold by Trinket, the raven sitting on the base of the large statue at Sylvan Falls in Highmountain, for 10,000 gold at Exalted with Talon's Vengeance. That reputation comes only from Marks of Prey, which are earned by killing other players while transformed by the faction's Ivory Talon or Ivory Feather.

Guide Wowhead: Falcosaur! - Obtaining Falcosaur Mounts, Pets, Toys

Before you go

  • A falcosaur mount of one's own (Predatory Bloodgazer, Brilliant Direbeak, Viridian Sharptalon or Snowfeather Hunter), each the end of a falcosaur hatchling's chain of 15 daily quests · about 7 h over 2 weeks
  • Talon's Vengeance opened: ride the falcosaur mount up to Aviana at Sylvan Falls (32.2, 66.9) and talk her dialogue through to 'I will be the talons of vengeance'. She hands over the first Ivory Talon, and Trinket trades from then on · about 0.1 h
  • Exalted with Talon's Vengeance: 42,000 reputation at 100 a Mark of Prey, about 415 marks after the 500 that come with the first Talon. A mark comes from a killing blow on a player while under the Ivory Talon (usable only in the falcosaur and PvP world quest areas of the Broken Isles; a player killed for a mark gives no other for 10 minutes) or, from Honored on, under the Ivory Feather (100 gold from Trinket; battlegrounds and Ashran only) · about 30 h
  • 10,000 gold

In all: about 37.1 h of play, spread over 2 weeks, 10,000 gold, starting from nothing.

/way is for the TomTom addon. Travel times are estimates: flying at 55 yards a second in a straight line and 30 seconds for a portal. A star marks a portal that needs a quest or other unlock done first.

Notes and sources

The journal leaves out the reputation: the wiki and Wowhead's comments both put the mount at Exalted with Talon's Vengeance, a hidden PvP faction without world quests or an emissary. Both factions buy from the same vendor. The standings add up to 42,000 (3,000 + 6,000 + 12,000 + 21,000); the 500 with the first Talon is from a 2024 comment.

Marks are items, stack to 20 and can be saved for a reputation bonus (the Darkmoon Faire carousel's buff gave 110 a mark in 2017); Legion Timewalking's bonus does not apply (2024 comment). Under the Talon every other player is hostile, own faction included; the effect ends on death or on leaving the world quest area, and the Talon has a 15-minute cooldown. The Feather puts no 10-minute block on the player killed (2017 comment).

The time is the weak point. Comments from 2020 on say the Legion PvP world quest areas are close to empty ('you might see someone every 30 minutes', 2024), and those of 2024-2026 describe arranging the kills with a second character instead, at up to 50 marks in half an hour; that is their pace, not one counted on here. A 2026 comment says marks can be had in Training Grounds battlegrounds once the Feather is bought; not confirmed elsewhere.

The wiki's faction page, last edited in 2023, lists no change to the faction since patch 7.1. Guide: Wowhead's falcosaur guide (a player's guide, last updated 2021) goes through the four hatchlings' 15 days of quests and has a section on Talon's Vengeance. It was written during Legion: it counts 420 marks to Exalted, advises saving them for a reputation bonus, and says nothing of how empty the PvP world quest areas are today.

Confidence in this entry: medium. Looked up in 2026.
