Notes and sources
Rogues only. Sold by Zan Shivsproket (npc 121282) for 1,000 Order Resources (currency 1220); the journal gives the vendor but no cost. Wowhead's sold-by list has him as the only seller, and the wiki's pages for the mount and for him (edited 2025) agree. The item asks for level 45 (wiki) and Apprentice Riding, and Wowhead's tooltip shows no other requirement. It binds when picked up.
He sells the two other colours, the Mephitic Reins and the Midnight Black Reins of Dark Portent, on the same terms, 1,000 Order Resources each (wiki), so the three together are 3,000. How fast Order Resources come in today was not measured. What the first mount takes is on the page for the Shadowblade's Murderous Omen.
This was the Outlaw colour. Until patch 8.0.1 the item asked for every trait of The Dreadblades (wiki), and Wowhead comments of 2017 and 2018 add that the buyer had to be in that specialization. No comment newer than 2018 says whether the specialization still matters. A 2021 reply on the paladin's Highlord's Vengeful Charger says all colours can be bought in any specialization; that is taken to hold here too, but was not confirmed for the rogue.
Where he stands: the wiki puts him in the Hall of Shadows, and Wowhead's tooltip gives twelve positions on the hall's own map around 41.9, 80.2 (40.4-43.4, 77.6-82.8). The game's map table calls that map Dalaran, the same name as the city's map above it, so the coordinates given above are that spot carried over to the city map through the game's own map data (39.6, 68.9): the point of Dalaran he stands under.
The hall cannot be walked into from the rest of the Underbelly, and only rogues get in (wiki). Its ways in, by the wiki (a raven sits on the sign of each shop; coordinates for the doors were not looked up):
- Glorious Goods in the Eventide, the main one: speak with 'Red' Jack Findle and lay the insignia on the table
- One More Glass in the Magus Commerce Exchange (Lucian Trias)
- Tanks for Everything in the Magus Commerce Exchange (Mongar)
Wowhead's guide (updated 2025) gives the requirements for every class and the price of the extra colours, not the rogue's quest steps. It was read in 2026 for the Shadowblade's Murderous Omen and the Highlord's Vengeful Charger and not opened again for this mount.
Confidence in this entry: medium. Looked up in 2026.
