How to get it

Rare drop from Mistress Sassz'ine in the Tomb of Sargeras, the Legion raid on the Broken Shore, on every difficulty including Raid Finder. She comes after Goroth and Harjatan; in Raid Finder the three are the wing The Gates of Hell.

Chance 0.22% once a week, so about 455 tries on average — Wowhead (item page read 2026-10-11; the tooltip gives the same figure): 222 mounts in 99,271 recorded loots of Mistress Sassz'ine, pooled over the four difficulties: Normal 46 in 18,996 (0.24%), Heroic 41 in 15,870 (0.26%), Mythic 89 in 32,281 (0.28%), Raid Finder 46 in 32,124 (0.14%). The counts are per looting player and go back to 2017, when each kill was looted by a whole raid, so the chance for one character on one kill today is probably higher; Blizzard published none

Getting there

Tomb of Sargeras entrance
Broken Shore · 65, 20.3
/way Broken Shore 65 20.3
From Stormwind (Alliance) about 2.3 min of travel
  1. Take the portal from Wizard's Sanctum to Azsuna*
  2. Fly the rest of the way
From Orgrimmar (Horde) about 2.2 min of travel
  1. Take the portal from Pathfinder's Den to Azsuna*
  2. Fly the rest of the way

/way is for the TomTom addon. Travel times are estimates: flying at 55 yards a second in a straight line and 30 seconds for a portal. A star marks a portal that needs a quest or other unlock done first.

Notes and sources

The lockout is weekly and separate for each difficulty, so one character has up to four tries a week: Raid Finder, Normal, Heroic and Mythic. Players describe running Normal, Heroic and Mythic in turn on each character (Wowhead comments of 2024 and 2025).

Raid Finder is queued with the Legion raid finder NPC in front of the Violet Hold in Dalaran (Broken Isles), as for the Antoran Charhound, without going to the entrance; the wing is The Gates of Hell (wiki; Wowhead comments of 2025). The wiki's list of bosses puts Goroth, the Demonic Inquisition and Harjatan before her; its own walkthrough goes Goroth, Harjatan, then down to her. Several commenters of 2025 got the mount straight into the bags on the kill, without looting the boss.

The entrance is from the game's own table of instance entrances; the wiki gives 63, 22, at the north end of the Broken Shore. No quest is needed to go in; the wiki gives level 45 for the raid and for the item. The ten minutes on the spot are an estimate for the way to her through the first two bosses; no source gives a time.

The chance given above is Wowhead's count as it stands and is the weak figure, for the reason given with the drop. Players' own tallies in the comments run well under what 0.22% would suggest: the mount after 36, 64, 70 (Mythic, 2026), 82, 131, 295, 389, 499 and 668 kills, and others at 163 and 181 without it. Several of the short ones fell in the Collector's Bounty event of July 2025, which raised the chance and is over. The wiki says only that it 'very rarely drops from Mistress Sassz'ine in the Tomb of Sargeras on any difficulty'.

Other sources, none of them a route:

  • the wiki says it can be listed on the Black Market Auction House (a commenter paid 490,000 gold there in 2024)
  • Wowhead has it in 1 of 405 Unclaimed Black Market Containers
  • Hemet Nesingwary XVII sold it for 100,000 Bronze during the Legion Remix event, which has ended (Wowhead still lists him)

A flying mount, added in patch 7.2.0; the item binds when picked up. No guide is linked: it takes turning up and killing the boss.

Confidence in this entry: medium. Looked up in 2026.
