How to get it

Chance item in Highmountain Supplies, the paragon cache of the Highmountain Tribe. Once Exalted, every further 10,000 reputation opens the quest Supplies From Highmountain at Ransa Greyfeather, the Highmountain emissary on the upper level of Thunder Totem, which hands over one cache.

Chance 7.29% per try, so about 14 tries on average — Wowhead: 2,637 mounts in 36,149 recorded Highmountain Supplies (read 2026-10-10), pooled over all years since 2017

Guide Wowhead: Highmountain Tribe Reputation Guide

Before you go

  • Exalted with the Highmountain Tribe: the Highmountain storyline (to about Honored), then Highmountain world quests and the Highmountain Tribes emissary (1,500 reputation each time it comes up) · about 8 h over 3 weeks
  • 10,000 Highmountain Tribe reputation past Exalted for each cache (same sources) · about 4 h over 12 days

In all: about 12 h of play, spread over 3 weeks, starting from nothing.

Getting there

Ransa Greyfeather, Thunder Totem (upper level)
Thunder Totem · 38.6, 45.8
/way Thunder Totem 38.6 45.8
From Stormwind (Alliance) about 2.4 min of travel
  1. Take the portal from Wizard's Sanctum to Azsuna*
  2. Fly the rest of the way
From Orgrimmar (Horde) about 2.3 min of travel
  1. Take the portal from Pathfinder's Den to Azsuna*
  2. Fly the rest of the way

/way is for the TomTom addon. Travel times are estimates: flying at 55 yards a second in a straight line and 30 seconds for a portal. A star marks a portal that needs a quest or other unlock done first.

Notes and sources

One roll per cache, and each cache costs another 10,000 reputation, so there is no lockout, only the time to refill the bar; about 14 caches are expected at 7.29%. The cache also holds gold, Order Resources, sometimes a Curious Coin, and since patch 11.2.7 housing decor (wiki).

Wowhead's count for this cache is well above the 2.98% this guide read for the Court of Farondis's chest. A 2024 commenter who got three Legion paragon mounts at the first try wondered whether the chances had been raised, and a 2025 reply says they were 'a few expansions ago'. Neither is confirmed, and the count mixes all years. In patch 11.1 the Legion paragon rewards stopped being handed out; a 2025 reply reports them working again.

Other reputation (Wowhead's guide):

  • Highmountain Tribe Insignia from treasure chests (250)
  • the Kirin Tor emissary's Greater Insignia for a chosen faction (1,500)
  • order hall missions
  • 50% more from world quests during the World Quest bonus event

Whether this reputation counts for the whole warband was not checked; the Cloudwing Hippogryph's notes take Legion's bars as one per character.

The coordinates are Wowhead's tooltip for Ransa Greyfeather on the Thunder Totem map (38.2-39.0, 45.4-46.6); the wiki has 38.8, 45.4. During Legion Remix the mount was also sold for 20,000 Bronze (wiki); that has ended. The guide linked was last updated in 2020 and still speaks of level 110, but its list of where the reputation comes from stands.

Confidence in this entry: medium. Looked up in 2026.
