Notes and sources

Only dwarves can buy from Veron Amberstill by default; other characters must be Exalted with Ironforge. The journal and the mount's own wiki page leave this out. The wiki's page for the vendor (edited 2025) states it, and its page for the Ironforge faction says the same of ram mounts. It was not confirmed in the game.

The reputation time is zero on a dwarf and on a character that is already Exalted, and the one standing opens all six rams he sells (three at 1 gold, three swift ones at 10).

Ways to the reputation, by the wiki (its faction page does not say which version of the game it describes):

The coordinates are Wowhead's point for the vendor, the same as for the Gray Ram and the Brown Ram so that the rams count as one stop; they were not read again. The wiki gives 63.5, 50.7, which the Gray Ram's notes take to be from the map as it was before Cataclysm.

The item asks for level 17 and Apprentice Riding since patch 9.0.1 (wiki). Two old quests that also gave it, Black Ram Exchange and Frost Ram Exchange, are gone from the game.
