/way is for the TomTom addon. Travel times are estimates: flying at 55 yards a second in a straight line and 30 seconds for a portal. A star marks a portal that needs a quest or other unlock done first.

Notes and sources

Same vendor, price and standing as the Amethyst and Beryl Ruinstriders: Toraan sells six ruinstriders at Exalted for 10,000 gold each (Amethyst, Beryl, Cerulean, Russet, Sable and Umber), so one climb to Exalted serves all six. The place given above, the Argus requirement and the hours and days are taken from those two so that the six agree; Toraan's coordinates (Wowhead's, on the Vindicaar's own map) were not read again. The wiki's pages for the reins, for Toraan and for the faction give the vendor, the price, the standing and the reputation sources.

The weekly rate, and so the seven weeks, is the weak figure: the wiki gives no amounts for the storyline or the world quests. Wowhead's reputation guide (a player's guide, last updated 2020; it lists the Russet Ruinstrider at Exalted for 10,000) says a character is Friendly on the way to Honored when the Argus story is done. Its amounts:

  • an Argussian Reach world quest 150
  • the emissary 1,500 for four of them
  • each of the three weekly Seat of the Triumvirate quests 250
  • an Argussian Reach Insignia 250, and a Greater one 750

A 2019 comment on the guide reports 7,000-8,000 reputation in a couple of hours from the two weekly quests, the dungeon quest and the world quests then up. That fits the 6,000 a week assumed here and would mean fewer hours than given.

Reputation is still per character today: Blizzard Watch reports that patch 12.1.5, which it dates 13 October 2026, makes Legion reputations, the Argussian Reach among them, shared by the warband; how standings on several characters are merged was not yet known.

The wiki's lore text says Toraan is no longer seen aboard after the Argus campaign, but its patch history has housing decor added to his stock in patch 11.2.7 (December 2025), so the vendor is taken to be there. Argus has no flying.

Confidence in this entry: medium. Looked up in 2026.
