Rare drop from two rare elite demons in the Antoran Wastes on Argus: Vrax'thul, an inquisitor in the Scavenger's Boneyard, and Puscilla, an imp mother in a cave in the north of the zone. Either can drop it, and each can be looted once a day. The Antoran Wastes are reached from the Vindicaar.
Chance 3.48% once a day, so about 29 tries on average — Per kill, pooled over the two rares. Wowhead (read 2026-10-10): 1,384 mounts in 40,874 recorded loots of Vrax'thul (3.39%) and 389 in 10,133 of Puscilla (3.84%), together 1,773 in 51,007. On a day when both are up the two kills together give 1 - (1 - 0.0339) x (1 - 0.0384) = 7.1%. Wowhead's own rare-mounts guide (updated November 2025) says 5%, 1 in 20, for each; the recorded count is used. The item's tooltip shows no figure because there are two sources

Notes and sources
About 29 kills are expected at 3.48%, 20 at the guide's 5%; players on Wowhead report it at 1, 5, 39 and 109 kills, and one at 186 without it. The journal says only 'Drop: Argus'; the wiki, Wowhead's loot data and Wowhead's guide all name these two rares, Vrax'thul and Puscilla, and no other. Each character can loot each rare once a day.
Vrax'thul's place is from Wowhead (tooltip 53.0-53.6, 35.4-36.6; comments 53.1, 35.8) and Puscilla's from Wowhead and the wiki (64.0, 20.8); the cave entrance is from a 2017 Wowhead comment. The time on the spot is an estimate for both rares in one visit, about 2 minutes for one. Argus is taken to have no flying, as for the other Argus mounts; that was not checked in the game.
The rares are not always there: all Argus rares run on a four-hour cycle, a set being up and respawning for four hours and then gone, and a rare that is the target of a world quest keeps respawning for as long as the quest is up (Wowhead guide). Whether both are ever up in the same four hours was not established: a test-realm comment of 2017 supposes that only one mount-dropping rare is up at a time, and nothing later confirms or denies it.
The item is unique. Wowhead's sold-by tab also lists Hemet Nesingwary XVII selling the mount for 40,000 of a currency (id 3252) that the Acid Belcher's notes take for the Bronze of the Legion Remix event; that event is over and this was not looked into further.
Confidence in this entry: medium. Looked up in 2026.
