Look it up on WowheadHow to get it
Fished up, very rarely, on Argus: from the fel pools of the Antoran Wastes and Krokuun and, by players' reports, from the ordinary water of Eredath as well. Any cast into open water can bring it up; no fishing skill level, pole or bait is asked.
Chance 7.9% per try, so about 13 tries on average — Worked out, not read as such. Wowhead's item page (read 2026-10-10) records 301 Pond Nettles in 943,799 fishing loots in the Antoran Wastes, 4 in 46,533 in Eredath and 3 in 21,953 in Krokuun: 308 in 1,012,285, or 0.030% a cast. At about 270 casts an hour (players report 3,141 casts in about 12 hours and 14,708 in about 50) one hour of fishing gives 1 - (1 - 0.000304)^270 = 7.9%. The tooltip gives no figure; a commenter in 2022 assumes 0.03% a cast

Notes and sources
One visit is counted as an hour of fishing. At Wowhead's rate about 3,300 casts, some 12 hours, are expected; the counts players post on Wowhead run from under 30 casts to more than 20,000, and one reports 70,469. There is no lockout.
Most players fish the green pools at Hope's Landing (about 74, 48; the place given above). Others name Antoran Wastes 53, 50 and the pool by the Shattered Fields beacon in Krokuun. The wiki names only the fel pools of Krokuun and the Antoran Wastes, but Wowhead's four Eredath catches and comments of 2023 to 2025 (the lake by the City Center beacon) show ordinary Argus water giving it too.
The rates per zone differ on Wowhead (0.032% Antoran Wastes, 0.014% Krokuun, 0.009% Eredath), but the last two rest on three and four catches. A 2023 comment says the bubbles made by the Secret Fish Goggles can give it; not confirmed.
It still drops in Midnight (comments of 2026) and was not sold in Legion Remix (comments, 2025). Catches go straight into the bags with auto loot on, and one commenter lost his to full bags (2021, 2026). The item binds when picked up and asks for level 10 (wiki). Argus has no flying.
Confidence in this entry: medium. Looked up in 2026.
