How to get it

Reward of the achievement ...And Chew Mana Buns: 2,000 non-trivial demons killed on Argus (Krokuun, Eredath and the Antoran Wastes). Progress counts for the whole account, and the mount comes by mail when the count is reached. The place players use is Darkfall Ridge in Krokuun, where the Argus story begins: demons pour without end from two Legion portals onto a line of Army of the Light defenders.

Time there about 1 h a visit

Before you go

  • Argus reached: The Hand of Fate from Dalaran and the first quests of the Argus story, which land the character at Darkfall Ridge and bring the Vindicaar; later visits go through Grand Artificer Romuul at the Vindicaar's navigation console · about 0.5 h

In all: about 0.5 h of play, starting from nothing.

Getting there

Darkfall Ridge, Krokuun (the endless demons at the portals, below the Vindicaar)
Krokuun · 60.3, 78.3
/way Krokuun 60.3 78.3
From Stormwind (Alliance) about 2.8 min of travel
  1. Take the portal from Wizard's Sanctum to Azsuna*
  2. Use the Lightforged Beacon on Krasus' Landing in Dalaran to teleport to the Vindicaar*
  3. Ride the rest of the way
From Orgrimmar (Horde) about 2.8 min of travel
  1. Take the portal from Pathfinder's Den to Azsuna*
  2. Use the Lightforged Beacon on Krasus' Landing in Dalaran to teleport to the Vindicaar*
  3. Ride the rest of the way

/way is for the TomTom addon. Travel times are estimates: flying at 55 yards a second in a straight line and 30 seconds for a portal. A star marks a portal that needs a quest or other unlock done first.

Notes and sources

The hour on the spot is the whole of the work, 2,000 kills, and is not counted again among the requirements. It comes from Wowhead comments on the achievement:

  • about 1,000 kills in half an hour at Darkfall Ridge (2021)
  • three minutes a hundred there, 'an hour for the mount' (2025)
  • about 55 a minute with a targeting macro (2026)
  • it still worked at level 80 (2025)

The place given above is the middle of the waypoints given for Darkfall Ridge, which run from 59.8, 77.8 to 60.6, 78.8 (one comment has 63, 82).

What counts: the demons at Darkfall Ridge all do (comments of 2017, 2018, 2021). The endlessly spawning imps in Puscilla's cave stopped counting in August 2017, while imps summoned by the brood mothers still did. One commenter found that in a raid group only demons he had hit himself counted. Other places named: the Felfire Armory in the Antoran Wastes (62, 54; about 500 kills in half an hour, comments of 2020) and the vehicle of the world quest Gladius when it is up.

Wowhead's tooltip and page give the description as 2,000 demons while the single criterion is still labelled 'Kill 1000 Greater Demons on Argus', with the bar at 2,000; the wiki and the comments have 2,000. When it was new the count was kept per character (a 2017 comment); it is account-wide since patch 11.0.0 (wiki; Wowhead's tooltip says 'Account-wide progress'). The mount is sent by mail (comments of 2017 to 2021).

It is the third of a series of four:

  • We Came Here For Two Reasons (100)
  • To Kill Demons... (500)
  • this one
  • And We're All Out of Mana Buns (5,000, the title Demonslayer)

Wowhead shows the achievement as attained by 63% of profiles. Added in patch 7.3.0.

Confidence in this entry: high. Looked up in 2026.
